We were grateful for a sunny day on April 1st in Union Square. While the calendar date of our event may have given pause to some, our customers are no fools, and these wines were no joke! There are a number of exciting new producers for us in the New York and New Jersey portfolios this Spring. Pair them up with the new vintages and wines from our long time favorites and it made for one excellent tasting at Corkbuzz Wine Studio.
Romain Cornin from Macon and Jean-Sebastien Marionnet from Touraine joined us to showcase their latest bottlings. Young and knowledgeable, Romain presented his fresh lineup of biodynamic wines and succulent single vineyards. Jean-Sebastien joined us in New York for the first time since our debut with his wines last fall. From Les Cepages Oublies to Chenin Blanc to refreshing Gamays – these Marionnet wines are selling like hot cakes!
Martine was happy to see some familiar faces and poured the Champagne and sparkling wines for all – Saint–Chamant, Stephane Coquilette, Domaine de la Bergerie and Clos de la Briderie. Her latest film, A Year in Champagne, will be premiering in spring of 2015.
Thanks to all who joined us for the tasting, and to Joanna Raynes for these great photos!
